Hi, I'm Heidi!

My specialty is creating fantasy and magical realism paintings.  Usually, I work in oil or acrylic paints, but I also sometimes dabble with other mediums, including digital painting. 

 

My struggles with mental health have taught me to always look for the wonder and magic in the everyday, and my art aims to take people to that same place. 

So many things inspire me to paint, and I'm endlessly inspired by fantasy worlds, monster movies and the beauty of the australian landscape (a weird mix, I know). 

 

I'm based in Melbourne, Australia, and live in the northern suburbs with my partner and two cats.

 

When I'm not painting, I can be spotted reading speculative science fiction, playing RPGs, camping, and bribing the neighbourhood stray cats with food for scritches.
